Japan announces 2026 openings of Shiraraso Grand Hotel’s night beach program and Kunisaki dog‑friendly resort

Shiraraso Grand Hotel in Shirahama, Wakayama, operated by Granvista Hotel & Resort, will offer a nightly “Moon & Wave Beach” experience for guests from 1 July to 31 August 2026. The program runs from 20:00 to 22:00, costs ¥1,100 per person, and includes local drinks such as Nagisa beer, Wakayama orange juice and plum beverage. Participation is limited to hotel guests (max 10 per session) and may be cancelled in inclement weather.

Relo Vacations will open the Kunisaki Forest and Sea Dog Resort in Kunisaki, Ōita, on 1 August 2026. The re‑branded property features 35 rooms designed for guests traveling with dogs, three dog‑run areas, ocean‑view rooms, a large mixed‑gender public bath, a rock‑bed sauna, and a restaurant. A launch‑special “20 % off” package offers a steak dinner for ¥17,600 per person. Reservations for the new resort begin on 24 June 2026.
