Japan Announces 2026 Summer Fireworks Events in Kyoto and Saitama
The Miyazu Bay fireworks in Kyoto Prefecture will be held on July 18, 24, 25 and August 1, 8, 2026, featuring a relay launch from three locations—Miyazu, Monju and Fuchu—with staggered timings. The highlights include a three‑site relay on August 1, where fireworks are launched sequentially from each site, and free admission for spectators.
In Saitama, Toda City and Warabi City have released their 2026 summer festival schedules. The 73rd Toda Bridge Fireworks Festival will take place on August 1, coinciding with the city’s 60th anniversary and a synchronized show with the nearby Itabashi fireworks. Warabi’s “Warabi‑Kikai Festival” runs from August 7‑9, featuring lantern displays and stage events. The Toda Furusato Festival, traditionally held in late August, has been moved to October 24‑25.
Both regions are promoting these events as major summer attractions, emphasizing music fireworks, large‑scale displays, and coordinated festivities.
