Japan announces corporate training programs for biodiversity and regional development

Two distinct corporate training programs focused on sustainability and regional problem-solving have been announced for late 2026 in Japan.

The Yamane Ikimono Kenkyujo will host the ‘1st Biodiversity Seminar for Business Professionals (Forest Edition)’ from October 28–29, 2026, in Yamanashi Prefecture. The two-day seminar aims to help companies implement ‘nature positive’ practices. Participants will visit Yamanashi Chuo Bank’s nature coexistence site and attend lectures from Oji Holdings regarding forest resource management and biodiversity conservation. The program includes forest trekking and wildlife observation in the Yatsugatake area.

Separately, Mirai Works is recruiting companies for a ‘Problem-Solving Workation Tour’ in Tagawa City, Fukuoka, scheduled for November 4–6, 2026. This three-day program combines agricultural experience with business improvement tasks. Participants will engage in sweet potato harvesting and conduct operational improvement workshops at a local food processing plant, Hakata Hisamatsu Co., Ltd. The initiative seeks to foster new business development skills while addressing regional challenges in agriculture and industry.
