Japan Announces Teams for Oregon U20 Athletics and Nagoya Asian Games Golf

Japan has selected 43 athletes to compete at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Oregon, United States, from August 5‑9, 2026. The delegation includes rising stars such as Daiki Goto (Rakunan High School), Rin Kubo (Tensui Chemical), Jeremy Koga (Juntendo University) and Churi Dolly (Okayama Athletics Association).

For the Asian Games golf competition in Nagoya, Japan has named a mixed squad of three men – Keita Nakashima, Kazuhiro Higa and amateur Ho Daesh (Arizona University sophomore) – and three women amateurs – Aira Nagasawa, Ai Goto and Manami Shinchi. This marks the first time professional golfers will represent Japan at the Asian Games. The golf event runs from September 30 to October 3 at Kasugai Country Club East Course C.

Both selections were announced by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and the Japan Golf Association, highlighting the country's preparation for major international sporting events later this year.
