Japan arrests men for indecent filming and sushi‑restaurant disturbance

A 36‑year‑old employee of Fukuoka City’s Children Future Bureau, Ryoichi Ide, was re‑arrested on suspicion of attempting to film women’s underwear by hiding a smartphone on his ankle. Police say Ide placed the phone on his foot’s top in October and tried to capture footage of a woman in her twenties, later being linked to additional recordings after a separate arrest for a similar offence in Dazaifu.

Separately, a 43‑year‑old man, Yuta Shinose, was arrested after filming himself touching the spout of a soy‑sauce bottle at a Hama‑Sushi restaurant in Saitama and posting the video online. Shinose had previously been fined for a similar disruptive act and claimed he sought to increase video views. Both cases involve arrests for alleged public indecency and harassment in Japan.
