Japan arrests two men for indecent conduct in Hyogo and Hokkaido

A 53‑year‑old local government employee was arrested in Hyogo Prefecture after police say he wore camera‑equipped glasses and repeatedly filmed a 26‑year‑old woman's chest in a shopping area, violating a public nuisance ordinance. The arrest took place on July 20 in the city of Itami and the suspect was detained at the Itami police station.

Separately, a 44‑year‑old man identifying himself as a consultant was taken into custody in Sapporo, Hokkaido after he appeared fully naked on a residential property, assaulted a police officer’s left arm during questioning, and was charged with obstructing police duties. The incident occurred in the early hours of July 21 and the officer sustained minor injuries.
