Japan arrests two men over separate assault cases

A 60‑year‑old Japanese TV talent, Bobby Ologon, was indicted on July 3 by the Chiba District Public Prosecutors Office for sexual assault on a female acquaintance. The alleged incident occurred in April at a residence in Chiba, where Ologon is accused of touching the woman's lower body without consent. He denied the allegations when detained in June.

In a separate case, a man in his 60s was arrested on July 2 in Fukuoka’s Minami‑ward after police identified him as the suspect who struck a female high‑school student on the back of the head. The assault was reported by local authorities and led to his detention.

Both arrests illustrate ongoing law‑enforcement actions against violent offenses in Japan.
