Japan Building Management Specialist Exam applications open October 1

The Japan Building Management Center has announced that applications for the 2026 Building Management Specialist Exam will open on October 1. This examination is a registered certification program under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Successful candidates who meet practical experience requirements can register as Building Management Specialists. This title serves as a professional designation and fulfills requirements for various roles, including business managers under the Real Estate Specific Joint Enterprise Act and certain roles under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.

The exams will be conducted via Computer Based Testing (CBT) at designated venues. A four-subject exam including descriptive questions is scheduled for December 5, while a three-subject version that waives the descriptive requirement will be held between December 6 and December 12.
