Japan businesses access various regional and national subsidies for AI and DX
Various Japanese service providers are facilitating access to regional and national subsidies aimed at promoting digital transformation (DX) and AI integration for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Alterna. fun College, operated by Noda Shuichi Office, has launched a practical AI learning platform designed to help companies integrate AI into actual workflows. The program utilizes the Human Resources Development Support Subsidy, which can cover up to 60% of costs, making the effective monthly fee approximately 2,800 yen per ID. Additionally, the office has opened an emergency consultation window to assist companies in meeting the October deadline for the 2026 IT Introduction Subsidy for tools like TuneAIBot Pro and Microsoft Copilot.
Other regional opportunities include the Nagano Prefecture SME Growth Support Subsidy, offering up to 20 million yen for investments in facilities, machinery, and software. Navit Co., Ltd. is also conducting seminars regarding regional subsidies in Hokkaido, Tokyo, Osaka, and Kumamoto, covering areas such as tourism development, digital tool implementation, and inbound tourism support.
