Japan Cabinet Office requests 1 trillion yen budget

The Japanese Cabinet Office has submitted a budget request of 1.024 trillion yen for the upcoming fiscal year, representing an increase of 393 billion yen over the previous year.

A significant portion of this request is directed toward investment in growth foundations, such as science and technology. The requested amount for these sectors is 326.3 billion yen, an increase of 235.2 billion yen. If approved, this would more than triple the budget allocated for these areas in the previous fiscal year.
