Japan celebrates World Pasta Day with local campaigns

Various Japanese businesses are marking World Pasta Day on October 25, 2026, through specialized promotions and commemorative events.

Sanshu Seika, a confectionery manufacturer based in Saitama Prefecture, is launching a campaign to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its ‘Pasta Snack’ product. Starting October 25, customers who purchase 1,000 yen or more of eligible products at participating Sanshu Sohonpo stores or their online shop will receive a limited-edition ‘Pasta Snack Bookmark Charm’ designed to resemble the snack packaging.

In Kagoshima Prefecture, the stone-baked fresh pasta specialty restaurant Maho no Pasta (Ijuin branch) is also participating by unveiling a staff-recommended selection of five stone-baked pasta dishes. The recommendations include a seasonal stone-baked carbonara, a yuzu-flavored Japanese-style pasta, and a seafood mentaiko lemon pasta, aimed at introducing customers to new menu items beyond the restaurant's standard popularity rankings.
