Japan Classic Hotels Association to release limited edition travel notebooks

The Japan Classic Hotels Association (JCHA) will release the ‘Onshuku Incho’ Notebook on September 19, 2026. This limited edition item, with only 1,200 copies available, is designed for travelers to record memories and collect stamps from the association's nine member hotels.

The A5-sized notebook features a dark green cloth cover with an embossed logo and a rubber band. Priced at 2,500 yen, it serves as a modern successor to the former ‘Classic Hotel Passport.’ While the notebook is intended for stamp collecting, the association noted that stamps collected in the notebook do not qualify for accommodation benefits; those benefits are managed through a dedicated app.

The JCHA comprises nine historic hotels, including the Nikko Kanaya Hotel, Fujiya Hotel, Manpei Hotel, Nara Hotel, Tokyo Station Hotel, Gamagori Classic Hotel, Hotel New Grand, Unzen Kanko Hotel, and Kawana Hotel. The association also recognizes September 9 as ‘Japan Classic Hotels Day’ to promote the preservation and international recognition of these historic cultural assets.
