Japan dominates Group A in WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup

The WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup in Mexico has seen significant shifts in Group A. Japan, the world number one, maintained a perfect record with dominant victories, including an 11-1 knockout win over Cuba and a 5-4 win against Mexico.

Cuba faced a difficult tournament, suffering losses to Japan and a surprising 3-2 defeat against Germany. The loss to Germany officially eliminated Cuba from the Super Round, leaving them to compete in the consolation round for seventh through twelfth place. The match against Germany ended in controversy when a Cuban batter's attempt to draw a hit by extending his elbow was ruled a strike by the umpire.

Mexico, despite losing their undefeated streak to Japan, has secured qualification for the Super Round. The United States has also secured a berth for the Super Round and is scheduled to conclude pool play against Venezuela.
