JAPAN Earphone Manufacturing and final announce MAKE1 JE Edition
JAPAN Earphone Manufacturing has announced the release of the ‘MAKE1 JE Edition’, a collaborative earphone model with final. Following the success of the ‘MAKE2 JE Edition’, this second collaboration is scheduled for release on October 25.
The MAKE1 JE Edition is based on final’s 3BA ‘MAKE1’ model but features unique tuning by JAPAN Earphone Manufacturing. The design aims for a ‘refreshing and enjoyable’ sound by maximizing high-frequency extension and resolution without causing discomfort. The hardware includes three balanced armature (BA) drivers—one for high frequencies and two for mid-to-low frequencies—housed in a mirror-finished stainless steel casing.
The collaboration originated from the interest of JAPAN Earphone Manufacturing’s representative, Ryofumi Naito, in final’s earphone assembly experiences. After presenting custom-tuned prototypes to final’s engineers, the project was officially commercialized. The product includes a silver-coated MMCX cable and various accessories, such as final’s ‘TYPE E’ ear tips.
