Japan Football Association starts overseas Future Camp for youth

The Japan Football Association (JFA), together with SCO Group, announced the launch of the JFA×SCO GROUP “FUTURE CAMP” inspired by the popular soccer manga Blue Lock. The program will bring together 34 overseas‑based teenage players born between 2009 and 2012 who hold Japanese nationality, have Japanese parents, or are eligible for Japanese citizenship.

The four‑day camp runs from August 3 to August 6 in California, USA, with JFA coach Reiji Hirata serving as chief coach and additional staff including Hiroyama Nozomi and Jo Kazu providing guidance. Participants will train under world‑class standards and compete in matches against local teams, aiming to discover talent that can strengthen Japan’s national squads and succeed in top‑level leagues abroad.
