Tokyo Game Show 2026 concluded with a total of 257,642 visitors over four days at Makuhari Messe. The event, originally planned for five days, saw its final day on September 21 cancelled due to the approach of Typhoon 25, though official programming continued via online streaming.

Highlights from the event included the debut of Sanrio’s gaming brand, Sanrio Games, and various hardware showcases from companies like MSI and BenQ. Konami’s upcoming title, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, received significant attention, winning the Future Division at the Japan Game Awards 2026. The game is scheduled for release on October 15, 2026, with a playable demo arriving on October 1.

Organizers have already announced the dates for Tokyo Game Show 2027, which is scheduled to return to Makuhari Messe from September 16 to September 20, 2027, aiming to complete a full five-day schedule.
