Heavy rainfall across the Hokuriku region has caused widespread damage, including flooding and landslides. According to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency, five people were injured across six prefectures, and a total of 917 houses suffered damage, ranging from flooding to total destruction.

Toyama Prefecture reported the most significant impact, with one house totally destroyed, six partially destroyed, and hundreds experiencing various levels of flooding. In Ishikawa Prefecture, 120 houses experienced above-floor flooding and 60 experienced below-floor flooding. In Fukui Prefecture, residential flooding reached 165 buildings across six municipalities as of September 1, including 26 buildings with above-floor flooding.

In Fukui, a Level 5 heavy rain emergency warning was issued for Fukui City, Ono City, and Katsuyama City. Authorities warned of risks regarding the Ryugahana Dam, which faced potential emergency water releases. Ongoing issues include road closures due to landslides and collapses on several routes, such as National Route 158 and National Route 364.
