Japan High School Soccer Inter-High Tournament Begins July 25

The 2026 National High School Sports Festival will host its soccer competition, known as the Inter-High, starting on July 25. Boys’ matches will be held at ten venues across Fukushima Prefecture from July 25, with the final on August 1, while girls’ matches begin on July 27 at two venues in Hokkaido, concluding with the final on July 31.

A total of 51 teams will compete – one school from each prefecture, with Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka and the host prefecture Fukushima entering two teams each. The tournament schedule includes first‑round matches on July 25 (boys) and July 27 (girls), followed by successive rounds through late July, and live streaming of key games on J SPORTS ONDEMAND and SPORTS BULL.
