Tokyo hosts amateur kickboxing tournament and announces DJ championships

The Amateur Kickboxing National Tournament 2026 was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Approximately 200 participants competed across various weight classes, including elementary, junior high, and adult categories. Notable winners included Yuki Shinohara, who secured a consecutive title in the Women's General -55kg class, and Sakura Kawahara, who won the Junior High Girls -37kg division.

Separately, the DMC Japan DJ Championships 2026 Final is scheduled for August 29 at WOMB in Shibuya, Tokyo. The competition features four categories: Classic, Battle for Supremacy, Scratch Battle, and The Open. Judges include world champions such as DJ Matsunaga and DJ IZOH. A crowdfunding campaign is currently underway to support the Japanese champion's travel to the world championships in London.
