Japan hosts inaugural All-Japan Cycling eSports Championship

The first All-Japan Cycling eSports Championship was held on August 16, 2026, at e-Sports Field in Tokyo. Organized by the Japan Cycling Federation (JCF), the event featured 10 male and 3 female finalists competing via the Zwift platform.

In the men's open category, Sumimori Honda emerged as the inaugural champion, while Yuka Yamamoto secured the title in the women's open category. Both athletes received national champion jerseys.

JPF Co., Ltd. served as a gold sponsor for the event. The company noted that cycling eSports provides a new entry point for the sport, as it allows participation in areas without dedicated cycling facilities by utilizing smart trainers and stable communication environments.
