Japan hosts major eSports football tournaments for EA SPORTS FC and eFootball

Major eSports football competitions are launching in Japan, featuring titles from Electronic Arts and Konami.

Sports IT Solution has announced the fourth season of the FC Community Series, rebranded as ‘FCS Asia 27’. The tournament, based on EA SPORTS FC 27, will begin online qualifiers on November 1, 2026, with the offline finals scheduled for December 13, 2026, in Tokyo. The series aims to expand its regional presence across Asia and features a refreshed brand identity.

Separately, the J.League and Konami have commenced online qualifiers for the ‘eJ. LEAGUE 2027’, centered on the game eFootball. All 40 clubs from the J1 and J2 leagues are participating. The competition includes both console and mobile divisions. The winning club will send two players to the ‘eFootball Championship 2027 World Finals’ next summer. The domestic finals are set to take place in Tokyo on January 31, 2027.
