Japan hosts Pink Ribbon Month health awareness events

Various health awareness events are scheduled in Japan for October 2026 to coincide with Pink Ribbon Month, focusing on breast cancer awareness and general well-being.

In Adachi, Tokyo, the NPO Breast Health Research Group will host a screening of the film ‘Walking Prescription’ alongside a well-being talk show on October 10. The event features Tadahiro Kakiose, Chairman of the Japan Cancer Society, and Kazushige Sasaki from the University of Tokyo. The program includes a discussion on the physical and mental benefits of walking, a lecture on healthy walking techniques, and a haiku session.

In Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, Hotel Castle Plaza is partnering with Kiss FM KOBE to host a themed Pink Ribbon party on October 24. The event will feature pink-themed decor and cuisine, along with appearances by Mihoko Tamura and Misaki Fujiwara. The venue will include PR corners and donation boxes to support breast cancer awareness efforts.
