Japan hosts summer dog water parks in Yokosuka and Hotel Doggies Island

A four‑day "DOG LAGOON" event will be held at the Soleil Hill park in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, on July 4‑5 and August 29‑30, 2026. The attraction turns a 6,000 m² pond area into one of Japan’s largest dog‑friendly water parks, offering a dog pool, rides, a dog‑only market and food trucks. Tickets must be purchased online in advance, with full‑day, morning and twilight options ranging from ¥2,400 to ¥3,600 per party of up to three dogs and guests.

Meanwhile, the resort "小谷流の里 Doggies Island" will host its annual "Splash Doggies" summer water‑play program on Saturdays and Sundays from July 4 to August 30. The hotel’s dog‑run will be equipped with sprinklers, a water‑gun shooting game and a "Wan‑Wan Water Battle" for owners and pets. Participation is free, though the program pauses on August 22‑23 for a night market. Both events aim to let dog owners enjoy wet‑weather fun together with their pets during Japan’s hot summer.
