Japan hosts summer parent‑child workshops in Osaka and Ehime

From July 27 to August 4, Umesho Fermentation Lab opened a pop‑up shop in Hankyu Umeda (Osaka), offering a three‑day summer workshop where parents and children make fermented treats such as plum syrup, salted koji and black‑koji mochi, and can purchase new products like the non‑alcoholic black‑koji beer and the KUROCO line.

On August 18, the Wakurie community centre in Ehime (New Imabari) will run a wood‑craft workshop for families, teaching participants to build an apple‑shaped clock. The two‑hour session costs ¥700, accommodates up to ten families, and is open to children aged three and older.
