Japan hosts Yokohama music festival and Wakayama Relay For Life

The Yokohama International Music Festival 2026 Autumn is scheduled to take place from September 27 to November 8, 2026. Hosted by Umemoto Minoru, the event features a variety of live performances at Yokohama Airgin, including solo piano sets, jazz, and tango. The festival includes international artists, such as Giesela H0RATO from Switzerland and Asger Uttrup Nissen from Denmark, and is supported by the Swiss and German embassies.

In Wakayama, the 13th Relay For Life Japan 2026 Wakayama was held on August 29–30, 2026, at Wakayama Castle Park Sunanomaru Plaza. Originally postponed from June due to a typhoon, the 25-hour event focused on the theme of connecting lives and lighting hope. The program included a relay walk and run, medical lectures, a 20th-anniversary symposium, and an empty ceremony to honor those lost to cancer.
