Japan implements diverse workforce development and global recruitment initiatives

Various initiatives are underway in Japan to address workforce development and recruitment through student engagement and international talent acquisition.

In Ehime Prefecture, a project at Ehime University is helping students develop essential professional skills. The program encourages students to interact with local companies by temporarily concealing job titles and positions to foster more natural communication during internships.

In the Tokai region, Hata Consultant Co., Ltd. is partnering with AIESEC members from Nanzan, Nagoya, and Nagoya City Universities. The collaboration aims to explore the work values of Gen Z through workshops designed to help students identify the environments in which they can most effectively take action.

Additionally, Hiroshima Prefecture has commissioned ASIA to JAPAN to manage a job fair for highly skilled Indian talent. Scheduled for October 2026 at Anna University in Chennai, the event will connect Indian professionals in fields such as IT, manufacturing, and construction with companies based in Hiroshima.
