Japan institutions implement relief measures following Typhoon No. 24
Following the application of the Disaster Relief Act due to Typhoon No. 24 and heavy rains caused by weather fronts, various institutions in Japan are implementing support measures for affected individuals.
Tokai University has announced financial assistance for students whose families are experiencing economic hardship due to the disaster in regions covered by the Disaster Relief Act. The university is offering tuition fee waivers and reductions, alongside guidance on support systems provided by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO).
The Japan Post Group, including Japan Post Co., Ltd., Japan Post Bank, and Japan Post Insurance, is also implementing emergency measures for those in disaster-affected areas. These special handling procedures will be extended to any additional regions as the Disaster Relief Act is applied to them.
