Japan launches 2026 digital cycling stamp rally events in Niigata and Nagano

Japan’s regional tourism bodies are promoting free, three‑month digital stamp rally cycling events for 2026. In Niigata’s Itoigawa, Joetsu and Myoko cities, the “Kubiki Cycling Digital Stamp Rally 2026” runs from 15 August to 15 November along the former JNR line, offering more than 70 checkpoints and prizes via the Spot tour smartphone app.

In Nagano’s Chikuhoku Village, the “Chikuhoku Time‑Travel Stamp Rally” operates from 25 July to 25 October, featuring 17 sites and quiz challenges accessed through the free furari app, with local‑themed rewards for participants. Both initiatives aim to attract cyclists and tourists, boost local economies, and showcase regional scenery and culture.
