Japan launches 2026 training programs for care instructors and teacher re‑challenge

A public‑interest organization in Tokyo, the Knowledge Environment Research Association, announced the 2026 autumn intake of its "Practical Training Instructor Course," a Ministry‑designated program that qualifies participants to teach the mandatory practical training for care‑worker certification. Applications are open nationwide from 7 June to 5 September 2026, with tuition of ¥56,000 for postal delivery or ¥52,920 for digital participation.

The Ibaraki Prefectural Board of Education will run a free "Teacher Re‑Challenge Training" series at five locations between August and December 2026. Targeting individuals who hold a teaching licence but lack classroom experience or have left the profession, each month‑long session offers identical content on licence systems, school operations, recruitment procedures and includes a registration and counselling session. Slots range from 40 to 50 participants, with online recordings available for those unable to attend in person.
