Japan Launches FY2026 Disability Employment Training and Manufacturing Workplace Grant Programs
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced a call for participants in the FY2026 Coexistence Society Design Training, aimed at improving understanding of reasonable accommodation and the new legal disability employment rate targets. The Sapporo Industrial Promotion Foundation issued the second round of applications for the FY2026 Manufacturing Companies Employment Environment Improvement Subsidy. The program runs from July 22 to September 3, 2026, offering up to ¥1.5 million per project to small‑ and medium‑sized manufacturers in the Sapporo metropolitan area for equipment that enhances worker safety, reduces noise, dust or temperature issues, and improves rest‑room facilities.
