Japan launches major 2026 pop‑culture collaborations: Demon Slayer theme park event and Touken Ranbu ice show

From August 21 to October 4, 2026, the indoor theme park NAMJATOWN in Tokyo will host a large‑scale collaboration with the anime series "Kimetsu no Yaiba" (Demon Slayer). The "Kimetsu no Yaiba – Oni no Sumi‑gai" event features original illustrations of eight characters, themed mini‑games, specialty food and dessert items, and a range of exclusive merchandise such as badge and acrylic collections. The event will later move to the Bandai Namco Cross Store in Fukuoka from October 30 to November 23.

Separately, on October 3–4, 2026, the National Yoyogi Gymnasium will stage the first "Touken Ranbu – ICE BLADE" ice‑show. The performance showcases eight sword‑personified characters—including Mikazuki Souken and Kashuu Seimei—performed by top Japanese figure skaters and voiced by the game’s original voice actors. New character visuals for the show have been released, and tickets include standard seating at ¥19,000 with an optional ¥4,000 arena‑seat guarantee.
