Japan Logistics National Convention 2026 to address AI and cyberattacks

The Japan Logistics Systems Association (JILS) will host the Logistics National Convention 2026 in Tokyo and online on October 6 and 19. The event focuses on logistics as a management priority, addressing themes such as AI implementation, physical AI, and responding to cyberattacks.

Key sessions include a case study from Asahi Group Japan regarding their logistics response following a cyberattack on September 29, 2025. The presentation will detail the transition from system failure to manual order processing and the eventual resumption of full operations. Additionally, experts will discuss the application of various AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), within logistics operations.

The convention will also feature discussions on corporate transformation and the impact of extreme weather on logistics. On October 19, the 2026 Logistics Awards will be presented, highlighting innovations in digital platforms, medical logistics, and real-time AMR and DPS coordination.
