Japan luxury retreats launch new specialized pet travel plans

New specialized travel plans targeting pet owners are being introduced at luxury accommodations in Japan, reflecting a growing trend in the pet-related market.

In Mie Prefecture, Luxury Trailers Rikyu Ise will offer an ‘Autumn Trip Plan with Your Beloved Dog’ from September 28 to October 31, 2026. Located near Ise Grand Shrine, the facility features private dog runs and outdoor baths. The plan includes amenities such as roasted sweet potatoes for pets, toy gifts, and themed photo props.

In Tochigi Prefecture, Mimoza Retreat NASU has launched a weekday-only ‘Dog Retreat Plan’ starting September 8, 2026. This plan waives standard pet accommodation fees for weekday stays and is designed to accommodate large dogs, multiple pets, and cats. Benefits include a ‘Welcome Wanko Box’ containing treats and care items, dedicated private times for the dog run, and specialized pet care stations with warm showers and grooming tools.
