Japan Math and English Testing Bodies Host Free Kids Assessment Events

The Japan Mathematics Certification Association will take part in the 2026 Kids Kasumigaseki Day held on July 29‑30 at the Ministry of Education. It will run a "Math Sensory Program" booth where elementary and middle‑school students can try a weight‑matching game called “Pita‑tto Omosa,” receive a completion sticker and exchange medals. Nine private testing organisations will exhibit at the event.

The Japan English Examination Association is organising the 9th "English Test ESG Festival" for elementary pupils in Grades 5‑6 (with optional participation for Grades 3‑4). The free, nine‑day assessment runs from October 31 to November 8 2026 and is open to tutoring centres and language schools that are registered as official exam venues. Using a CSE score, the test measures listening and reading proficiency aligned with the national curriculum, aiming to provide equitable English‑learning opportunities across regions.
