Japan men's golf team leads Asian Games team competition
In the second round of the men's golf competition at the Asian Games held at Kasugai Country Club, the Japanese men's team maintained its solo lead in the team event with a total score of 16 under par. The team currently holds a one-stroke advantage over China, which is at 15 under, and South Korea, which is at 14 under.
In the individual competition, the leaderboard saw shifts following the second round. Taiwan's Wang Wei-hsun and China's Ding Wenyi share the lead at 9 under par. Japanese professionals Kazuki Higa and Keita Nakajima are currently tied for third place, both at 8 under par. Higa recorded a 67, including five birdies, while Nakajima shot a bogey-free 66 to move up the standings.
Keita Nakajima, who previously won both individual and team gold at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, is seeking to become the first Japanese golfer to achieve a second double victory in the event.
