Japan national football team matches to be streamed for free

The Japan national football team is scheduled to participate in several upcoming matches, including the Kirin Challenge Cup 2026 and the Kirin Cup Soccer 2026. These matches serve as the team's first international friendlies following the 2026 FIFA World Cup. TVer will provide free live streaming for four national team matches through October 12, 2026, including an exclusive broadcast of the ‘FUTURE LEGACY MATCH’ featuring former national team players.

DAZN has also announced its coverage for these matches, featuring guest commentator Tsuyoshi Kuroda, manager of FC Machida Zelvia, for the match against Panama or New Zealand on October 5. DAZN will also host a special discussion program, ‘DEEP SESSION’, to analyze the team's future direction.

In separate news, the J.League and NTT Group have announced the ‘Sustena Cup 2026’, running from October 6 to November 9, 2026. This initiative encourages fans to engage in climate-friendly actions via a smartphone app to earn points for their clubs, following a previous iteration that set a Guinness World Record for fan participation in sustainability activities.
