Japan to face Brazil and Paraguay in Singapore football tournament

The Mizuho Blue Challenge – The Kallang Football Series Singapore will take place from November 13 to 17 at the Singapore National Stadium. The tournament features four national teams: Japan, Brazil, Paraguay, and Singapore.

Japan is scheduled to face Brazil on November 14, a rematch of their 2026 World Cup Round of 32 encounter, followed by a match against Paraguay on November 17. The tournament format dictates that matches will last 90 minutes with no extra time or penalty shootouts; draws will be recorded if scores are level at the end of regulation. No final ranking will be determined.

The event serves as part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore. Mizuho Financial Group is the special sponsor of the series. Organizers include The Kallang Group and Dentsu Sports International. Singapore will open the tournament against Paraguay on November 13, and conclude with a double-header on November 17 featuring Singapore vs. Brazil and Japan vs. Paraguay.
