Japan offers revolving‑credit refinancing and easier card loans for housewives
Japanese consumers facing high‑interest revolving‑credit ("revo") debt can lower monthly payments by refinancing with lower‑rate loans. Options include consumer‑finance card loans from firms such as Acom, Promis and Aiful, bank card loans or personal loans with rates as low as 1.5‑15 %, and consolidation loans that combine multiple debts into a single payment.
For housewives without personal income, major lenders often reject applications, but smaller card‑loan companies provide more flexible screening. Companies like Central, Fukuho and other regional lenders may consider household income and spouse earnings, allowing loans up to about one‑third of the family’s total income, with promotional zero‑interest periods and same‑day funding in many cases.
