Japan Packaging Contest 2026 honors SBS Toshiba Logistics and KOSÉ
Several companies have received honors at the 2026 Japan Packaging Contest, organized by the Japan Packaging Institute.
SBS Toshiba Logistics achieved its 24th consecutive win, securing both the Logistics Award and the Industrial Packaging Award. Their recognized innovations include a tool-free, nail-less packaging structure for ceiling-mounted equipment that reduces wood usage by 26% and cuts unpacking time by 80%. Additionally, they developed a versatile tray for glass panels that adapts to different logistics stages, reducing material waste and improving efficiency.
KOSÉ Corporation’s high-prestige brand, Infinity The Repair, received the Japan Star Award (specifically the Chairman's Award from the Japan Universal Design Organization). The award recognizes the line’s universal design, which was developed through dialogue with individuals suffering from stroke aftereffects. Key features include a non-slip base for jars, a cap mechanism requiring half the usual rotation, and a side-opening box design to improve accessibility and ease of use for all consumers.
