Japan pledges $20 billion in total aid to Ukraine
Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi has announced that Japan's total support for Ukraine will reach approximately $20 billion (about 3.1 trillion yen) as the Russian invasion enters its fourth year.
In Ukraine, the ongoing conflict has fundamentally altered daily life. Residents live under constant air raid sirens and the threat of large-scale attack drones, which can exceed three meters in length and carry dozens of kilograms of explosives. The psychological impact of the war extends beyond the front lines, affecting veterans and their families as they navigate physical and mental trauma, rehabilitation, and reintegration into society.
