Japan Premier Half Series announces 2027-2028 season entries

The Japan Premier Half Series (JPHS) has announced that entries for the 2027-2028 series will open on September 7, 2026. A new competition category, the ‘Team Championship’, will be introduced to allow runners to compete for annual rankings in teams of 5 to 15 members.

Annual champions in the male/mixed and female categories will each receive a prize of 1 million yen. The series also offers ‘Series Priority Entry’, a paid option that guarantees participation in six affiliated races. Due to high demand in the previous season, the capacity for priority entries has been increased from 600 to 1,000 participants.

The upcoming season will include the Kagawa Marugame International Half Marathon 2027 as its first event.
