Japan Railway Advertising Association launches 20th nationwide railway campaign against global warming

The Japan Railway Advertising Association is running the 20th edition of its nationwide railway advertising campaign to promote global‑warming prevention. The campaign runs from 1 August to 31 August 2026 and will appear on posters and digital signage in stations and train cars of 33 participating JR, private and subway operators across the country.

Four prominent artists – Ryōhei Miyata, Hitoshi Otsu, Yuji Tezuka and Katsuhiko Hibino – have volunteered their works, each reflecting one of four theme colours representing the sun, earth, forest and sea. The effort is co‑sponsored by the Japan Lottery Association and receives backing from the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
