A new study conducted by the online platform SafariBookings has identified the world's most polite tourists. According to the survey of 192 tour operators, Japanese travelers were ranked as the most polite nationality, accounting for 21.1% of responses. They were followed by travelers from Norway (10.6%) and Switzerland (10.4%), with Canadian and American tourists also placing highly in the rankings.
In contrast, Italian tourists were ranked as the least polite, receiving only 1.3% of the positive mentions. The research also explored other travel behaviors, revealing that American tourists are the most generous tippers, accounting for 29.5% of mentions, and are also among those who spend the most while traveling.
Tour operators noted that European guests often show high levels of engagement, particularly regarding wildlife behavior and conservation efforts during safari tours.
