A new survey conducted by SafariBookings.com, which polled 192 tour operators, has revealed distinct cultural differences in how international tourists behave. The study evaluated travelers across five categories: politeness, tipping, spending, sense of adventure, and culinary interest.

Japanese tourists were ranked as the most polite in the world, receiving 21.1% of mentions, followed by travelers from Norway (10.6%) and Switzerland (10.4%). Conversely, Italian tourists were ranked lowest in the politeness category with only 1.3% of mentions. European travelers were noted for their high level of curiosity regarding wildlife and conservation.

In terms of financial habits, Americans were identified as the best tippers (29.5%) and the highest spenders (24%) while traveling. German tourists were highlighted as the most adventurous, while Indian travelers were noted for their primary motivation being culinary experiences.
