Japan road closures: Nagasaki Expressway accident cleared and Shiga bridge inspections announced

Traffic restrictions have been reported across different regions in Japan. In Saga and Nagasaki prefectures, road closures on the Nagasaki Expressway (Uphill: Ureshino IC to Takeo Kita IC) and the Nishi Kyushu Expressway (Uphill: Hasami Arita IC to Takeo Minami IC) caused by an accident near Takeo City were lifted at 6:03 PM on August 25.

In Shiga Prefecture, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Shiga National Highway Office has announced scheduled nighttime road closures on a national highway in Otsu City. These closures will occur from September 7 to September 12 to facilitate periodic inspections and investigations of a bridge.
