Japan rolls out stamp rally tours in Tokyo’s Toshima Ward and Chikuhoku Village

Tokyo’s Toshima Ward launched the "Toshima‑machi Walking Stamp Rally" on 15 July 2026. The free, year‑round event lets participants collect five differently coloured stamps at locations such as Ikebukuro East Exit, Global Ring Café, Zoshigaya, Tokiwazō Street Showa Retro Hall and Sugamo Cultural Creation Center. Completing the set creates a single illustration featuring local mascots, encouraging residents and visitors to explore lesser‑known spots.

Chikuhoku Village in Japan began its "Chikuhoku Time‑Travel Stamp Rally" on 25 July 2026, running through 25 October 2026. Using the mobile app furari, participants solve quizzes and gather stamps at 17 points, including railway stations, an onsen, a dam and historic sites. Prizes range from badge giveaways to travel tickets and local‑product packages for completing the rally.
