Brigandine Abyss Demo Launches on Consoles Ahead of August Release
Hapinet announced on July 30 that the console demo for the fantasy strategy game Brigandine Abyss is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The demo lets players experience the first two chapters of the two playable factions – Gran Dragunica, following young dragon‑tamer Largoo, and Scarlet Will, featuring the heroine Garnet – with the same hex‑grid turn‑based battles as the full game.
The demo mirrors the earlier PC (Steam) trial that began on May 27, but adds console controls and cross‑platform compatibility. Full‑game release is scheduled for August 27, priced at ¥9,020 in Japan, with a limited edition that includes a visual book and soundtrack. Staff from the Sengoku BASARA series, including director Makoto Yamamoto and game‑design lead Masayuki Horikawa, contributed to the project.
The launch highlights Hapinet’s effort to revive the Brigandine franchise for modern platforms, offering players a preview of the new story and tactical mechanics before the full launch later this month.
