Japan to host major whisky and spirits tasting events in 2026

Major whisky and spirits tasting events are scheduled for 2026 in Japan, highlighting regional distillery culture.

In Koriyama, Fukushima, the ‘Whisky Collection Koriyama 2026’ will take place on September 6 at Hotel Hamatsu. The event features approximately 50 distilleries from across Japan, including locations from Hokkaido to Okinawa. Attendees can participate in tastings, purchase limited-edition bottles, and attend open seminars to hear production stories from makers.

In Fukuoka, the ‘ALLIQ Whisky & Spirits Tasting 2026’ is set for August 26 at the TKP Elgarah Hall in Tenjin. This industry-focused event has expanded to include approximately 80 exhibitors, offering a wide range of spirits such as whisky, gin, rum, vodka, and tequila. While general enthusiasts can purchase tickets, restaurant and industry professionals are eligible for free entry with prior registration.
