Japan to host South Korean sports delegation in Ishikawa

The Japan Sports Association (JSPO) will host a South Korean delegation in Ishikawa Prefecture from September 17 to September 22, 2026. This event marks the 30th anniversary of the Japan-South Korea Sports and Adult Exchange program, which began in 1997.

The exchange aims to foster mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations through sports and cultural activities involving participants aged 30 to 70. The South Korean delegation, consisting of 157 members, will participate in eight sports disciplines during the Japan Sports Masters 2026 Ishikawa Tournament: soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, soft tennis, rubber-ball baseball, badminton, and bowling. In addition to the competitions, the delegation will attend the opening ceremony and engage in cultural exploration within Ishikawa Prefecture.
