The Japan Plant Protection Association is organizing a symposium titled ‘Frontiers of Difficult-to-Control Pests and Weeds,’ scheduled for September 15, 2026, in Tokyo. The event aims to share information and address challenges in plant protection to promote academic advancement in the field.

Additionally, the 22nd Biomass Science Conference will be held on December 10–11, 2026, at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in Koganei, Tokyo. Hosted by the Biomass Division of the Japan Energy Society, the conference will focus on the utilization of renewable biomass resources as a key component in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, particularly in response to rising fossil fuel costs and global energy shifts.
